Version 2–5 JSON imports support up to 32 MiB, 1,000 plans, 25,000 entries and 100 datasets (25,000 rows × 100 columns each). Nested entries and linked plan chains have a 100-level limit. Invalid or conflicting backups leave your workspace unchanged. Normal saves follow these limits. Restore backups are validated before download. New exports use Version 5 for filtered-view, original-row and Insight source context; older app versions cannot import them. A preservation archive retains existing unsupported data privately for support; workspace import cannot restore that archive.

Clearing browser/site data or browser eviction can remove this workspace. Export a private backup while storage is readable. Lost browser data requires a previously saved valid backup or reimporting your original files; Specklet has no hosted workspace copy.

Server boundary
Normal projects, tasks, datasets, charts, and saved state are stored in IndexedDB in this browser. CSV/XLSX parsing requests are processed ephemerally and are not added to a central workspace database.
Back up workspace and saved layouts together
Save Layout on each page first. Download one private file containing your workspace and saved tile presentation. Import merges projects and data first; you can then review and choose whether to replace saved layouts. Other browser preferences are unchanged. Keep this file private: it contains your dataset source files.
Repair an older workspace locally
Use this when a restore backup reports unsupported fields. Download and privately retain a preservation archive first. Review all edits before applying them together. This tool never automatically shortens text, removes records or uploads workspace data.
Advanced JSON staging for support
Keep every existing record, source file, row/column and migration history. Fix references together with their fields. Capacity or unsupported structural issues may require support assistance.
Saved tile presentation
Workspace backups contain plans, data, favorites and recent timestamps. Tile size, position, order and minimized state are local presentation preferences, exported separately. Save Layout first. Importing this file replaces saved presentation only; it never changes projects or datasets. Reload a workspace page to apply it. Reset Default is available on each page.
